Terms of Service
By booking Jaimee Brooking as your Marriage Celebrant or Master of Ceremonies, you agree to the following Terms of Service:
1. Booking & Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and confirm your date. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the couple, as it covers administration, preparation time, and holding the date exclusively for your ceremony.
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due 7-14 days prior to your wedding date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Cancellation Policy
If the couple cancels the ceremony for any reason:
The 50% deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.
If full payment has already been made, only the remaining 50% will be refunded.
In the unlikely event that Jaimee Brooking is unable to perform the ceremony due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to arrange a suitable replacement celebrant.
Jaimee maintains a trusted network of experienced, high quality celebrants and would only recommend a replacement who aligns with her professional standards and values.
In the extremely unlikely event that a suitable replacement cannot be arranged, a full refund of all monies paid will be provided.
3. Changes & Postponements
Postponements may be accommodated at no additional charge, subject to availability.
If your new date is unavailable, the booking will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation policy will apply.
Emergency Postponements
I completely understand that sometimes things don’t always go to plan, and I am always as accommodating as possible. In the event of an emergency beyond the couple’s control—such as severe illness, bereavement, natural disaster, or government-imposed restrictions—Jaimee will work with you in good faith to reschedule your ceremony.
Your booking can be transferred to a new date within 12 months, subject to availability.
If rescheduling is not possible due to availability or long-term deferral, the standard cancellation policy applies.
Proof of circumstance may be requested for postponement under this clause.
4. Ceremony Content & Rehearsals
All ceremonies are created in collaboration with the couple. A draft will be provided well in advance for review and approval.
One rehearsal (1hr) is included, typically held the week of the wedding at the venue or a nearby location. I usually recommend doing this the day before, at the same time of your actual ceremony where possible.
5. Travel & Accommodation
5.1 Bay of Plenty Weddings
For weddings held within a 60 km radius of Mount Maunganui, travel is included in the Bay of Plenty package pricing.
This applies to:
Celebrant
Celebrant + MC
Celebrant + MC + Coordinator
The Celebrant + MC + Coordinator Bay of Plenty package is $3,500 including GST, with travel included within this radius.
For venues outside 60 km of Mount Maunganui, a flat travel fee will apply. This will be confirmed in writing prior to booking and included in your agreement.
5.2 Auckland Weddings
Auckland bookings are subject to flat travel and accommodation fees based on service level and venue location. All travel tiers are confirmed in writing once the venue address is provided.
(a) Celebrant Only – Auckland
The Celebrant Only package typically requires one night of accommodation (after your rehearsal, the night before the wedding).
Auckland Metro
Within 25 km of Auckland CBD
Flat travel fee: $450–$550
Extended Auckland
West Auckland, Muriwai, Kumeu, Hibiscus Coast, and South Auckland beyond 25 km
Flat travel fee: $650–$800
(b) Celebrant + MC – Auckland
The Celebrant + MC package requires two nights of accommodation to allow for rehearsal attendance and full wedding day coverage.
Auckland Metro
Within 25 km of Auckland CBD
Flat travel and accommodation fee: $750–$850
Extended Auckland
West Auckland, Muriwai, Kumeu, Hibiscus Coast, and South Auckland beyond 25 km
Flat travel and accommodation fee: $900–$1,050
(c) Celebrant + MC + Coordinator – Auckland
Package price: $3,500 + travel.
This package requires two nights of accommodation due to rehearsal attendance and extended wedding day coordination responsibilities.
Auckland Metro
Within 25 km of Auckland CBD
Flat travel and accommodation fee: $900–$1,050
Extended Auckland
West Auckland, Muriwai, Kumeu, Hibiscus Coast, and South Auckland beyond 25 km
Flat travel and accommodation fee: $1,050–$1,200
5.3 Weddings Outside Bay of Plenty and Auckland
For weddings held outside the Bay of Plenty region and Auckland, travel and accommodation costs will be quoted separately.
This includes, but is not limited to, locations such as Queenstown, Wanaka, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Christchurch and international destinations.
Travel requirements may include flights, accommodation, car hire and associated travel time depending on location and schedule. A minimum two-night stay may apply for South Island or remote destinations.
All travel and accommodation costs will be agreed in writing prior to confirming the booking. Once confirmed, these costs form part of the total contracted amount and are subject to the same payment terms as the selected package.
5.4 Confirmation of Travel Fees
The applicable travel zone and flat fee will be confirmed in writing once the venue address is provided.
Once agreed and invoiced, travel and accommodation fees form part of the total contracted amount and are non-refundable in accordance with the cancellation terms outlined in this agreement.
6. Privacy & Use of Images
I love to share my couple’s love stories and feature them across my Instagram and website. Any images or testimonials provided by you or your photographer may be shared on my website or social media platforms unless you request otherwise in writing.
